SUGGESTED ITINERARY
DAY 1- Arrival in Rio de Janeiro. You will be met by an English speaking tour guide at the airport. On the way to
your hotel in Copacabana, you will start to experience the amazing natural beauty as you ride around Guanabara`s
bay, through the Corcovado Mountain, by Rodrigo de Freitas` lagoon until you reach your hotel. The afternoon is
free for you to relax on the beach or at the rooftop of your hotel, and start to get acquainted with this new life style.
DAY 2- Get ready for a morning tour. You will be taken on a ride through the city to a 19th. century train station to
go through Tijuca Forest, on a cogwheel train, to the top of Corcovado Mountain, to visit the statue of Christ
Redeemer at 2,330 feet above the sea level. From there, you will be able to see why people kindly say that God is
Carioca (a local from Rio). After that, you will go to Sao Conrado`s beach to see the hanggliders land on the sand,
and after that you will ride along the beaches of Sao Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema and back to Copacabana. Free
afternoon.
DAY 3- This morning you can sleep in late. In the afternoon, you will be taken on a cable car ride to the top of Sugar
Loaf mountain to enjoy a panoramic view of Guanabara`s bay and the downtown of the city. Your sightseeing will
continue along Botafogo`s and Flamengo`s beaches until you reach the downtown area of Rio de Janeiro, where
you will visit the ultra modern Cathedral, the Sambodromo (Carnival`s dome), among other places.
DAY 4- Today you are free to exploit the city on your own. Maybe you might want to get on an optional tour to the so
famous Tropical Islands or to the historical Petropolis (40 miles from Rio).
DAY 5- Another free day to enjoy the city, maybe go hang-gliding, joining a Favela tour, Jeep tour or simply go
shopping. Tonight is time to celebrate this uforgettable city. You will enjoy a delicious dinner at Mariu`s Carnes, an
amazing local barbacue restaurant (churrascaria), where you will be able to taste all the different cuts of the
worldwide famous brazilian meat. After dinner you will go to a Samba Show, where you will have a small taste of
World`s most famous party, Carnaval.
DAY 6- Time to say good-bye and hope to see you back soon.
